Emirates Airlines: Flying Safe for Over 700 Million Passengers
Since it started in 1985, Emirates Airlines has done something amazing. The airline, based in Dubai, has flown over 700 million people without a single passenger or crew member losing their life. That’s a huge achievement in the world of air travel!
Flying can sometimes be risky because of bad weather, small mistakes, or plane problems. But Emirates works very hard to keep everyone safe.
The airline uses some of the newest and best airplanes in the world. These include Boeing 777s, Airbus A380s, and the newest Airbus A350s. These planes come with the latest safety features to help prevent problems before they happen.
Emirates is also known for keeping their planes in excellent condition. They follow very strict rules to check and fix their aircraft. Because most of their flights are long, there are fewer takeoffs and landings—which are the riskiest parts of any flight.
The worst accident Emirates ever had was in 2016, when Flight EK521 had a hard landing in Dubai. Even then, all 300 people on board survived. Sadly, one firefighter lost his life while trying to help.
Thanks to its strong focus on safety, training, and careful planning, Emirates is seen as one of the safest airlines in the world.
